UPDATE: Serious pedestrian vs. motorcycle crash in Ocean City

Authorities have confirmed two people were airlifted in serious condition Thursday evening around 7:00, following a crash involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle.

Ocean City Police spokeswoman Lindsay Richards tells 47ABC that the pedestrian was not on a crosswalk at the time of the collision, and was apparently using a cellphone at the time.

No word yet on where the two were airlifted.

Officials say traffic was shut down near the intersection of 28th Street and Philadelphia Avenue for investigation of this incident, and 12th Street and Baltimore Avenue for another reported crash.
