UPDATE: Authorities looking for suspect after police chase

Authorities in Wicomico County are searching for a man they say fled from Police.

Tuesday morning, just before noon, officials with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s office say they got a tip regarding the possible location of a stolen vehicle.

Police say the found the car, and when they tried to pull it over, the driver fled. A little while later, the driver apparently had a minor collision with another car on Parsons Road and then fled on foot.

Due to all this, Pemberton Elementary was on a partial lock down for a brief time. Officials with the Wicomico County Board of Education say there will be no outdoor activities for the rest of the day, but dismissal will occur as usual.

The search for the suspect is ongoing.
