UMES Volleyball off to best start in school history

The UMES Hawks Volleyball team improved to 6-0, their best start in school history, defeating rival MEAC rival Delaware State 3-0, Saturday afternoon in Princess Anne.

Zuzana Ondruskova had a game-high 14 kills for the Hawks, along with 8 digs. UMES’ Andjela’ Reljic posted a game-high 18 digs to go with 4 assists. For DSU (2-5) Jasmine Jackson had a team-high 9 kills, along with 9 digs.

The Hawks also defeated North Carolina A&T today (improving their record to 7-0) host another MEAC rival, North Carolina Central on Friday, September 11th, while Delaware State travels to Philadelphia, PA to take on LaSalle on Wednesday, September 9th.
