This Ones For Coach Pusey: Pocomoke Field Hockey Tops Worcester Prep

The Pocomoke field hockey team honored their late coach Pusey Friday night after they defeated Worcester Prep 5-0. The win improves the Warriors to 1-0, while the loss drops the Mallards to 0-1.

Pocomoke lost their long time head coach unexpectedly this summer, and this was the first time taking the field as a team since. The teams would be in a stand still early on before Lexi Butler finally got loose for the Warriors. She scored three straight goals to round out the first half to give Pocomoke a 3-0 lead. The Warriors kept up their pressure in the second half as Makenzie Beauchamp scored from the far post. Then with time expiring, Peyton Becker would put the game away with a beautiful goal, down the middle.
