Tastee Caramel Apples recalled after peanuts left off label

A local grocery chain has pulled a favorite fall treat from shelves, after they were found to be mislabeled. Giant Food announced that Tastee Apple Inc., has removed Tastee Caramel Apples, which may contain peanuts, from stores, after peanuts were reportedly left off of the ingredient label.
The following product is included in this recall:
· Tastee Caramel Apple, 3 oz., UPC 3526600027 with a best by date of 9/29/15
Giant says there have been no reports of illness at this time. Officials say that the products are still safe to eat for people who do not have a peanut allergy or sensitivity. Those who bought the apples should throw away any unused portions, and bring their purchase receipt to Giant, for a full refund.
