SU Women’s Soccer Falls To The Generals

The Salisbury University Classic kicked off today for the SU women’s soccer team as they faced the Washington and Lee Generals.

Washington and Lee came out with high pressure, but the game was fairly even throughout the first half. The Generals managed to get a goal off a corner kick in the first half to take a 1-0 heading into the second half.

Washington and Lee scored 3 more second-half goals while the Gulls managed to get two of their own, however, it was too late to get the comeback win.

Gulls goals by:

1. Victoria Luc 82′

2. Victoria Luc 89′

The Gulls did take away a couple of positives like the performance from sophomore transfer – Hope Knussman – from Easton, MD. The sophomore goalkeeper had 5 saves with 9 shots on goal.

The Gulls are back in action tomorrow against East. Mennonite at 3:00 pm.
