SU Volleyball Sweeps Virginia Wesleyan

The Salisbury University volleyball team pulled off a three set sweep of Virginia Wesleyan Tuesday (25-23, 26-24, 25-15). The win improves the Sea Gulls to 9-6 on the year.

Salisbury honored Katie Stoufeer pre-game, recognizing her for recording her 1,000th career kill last game. She continued to add to her total, by racking up 18 more on the night. The Gulls got some strong contributions from some underclassmen as well, as freshman Nicole Venturelli had 11 kills, while sophomore Sydney Davis tallied 7 kills and 2 digs. The Gulls would battle back to take a close first and second set, before blowing out the Marlins in the 3rd set.

SU returns to work on Friday when they play Sarah Lawrence.
