Startup Maryland shares what makes a “winning” pitch

It can be considered an opportunity on wheels. Startup Maryland has kicked off its statewide tour to hear Marylanders pitch their best business ideas on Monday.
The tour made its first stop in Pocomoke City and invited entrepreneurs to hop in a bus to share their ideas for a chance to expand.
According to Startup Maryland’s website, officials heard from over 150 businesses last year.
CEO and founder Michael Binko advises anyone who wants to leave an impression to practice and know their pitch inside and out.
“Just do it and own it.” He says. “Because if you own and know it cold, there’s not going to be any hesitation about your confidence in your opportunity and it’s all about confidence.”
The tour traditionally kicks off in Ocean City but this year, officials chose to start in Pocomoke City.
