Skatepark construction underway

Construction of the Salisbury Skatepark on South Park Drive in Salisbury is underway, and city officials say they’re ahead of schedule.

In preparation for an early finish, the Department of Community Development has set up registration online for skaters. That website is www.ci.salisbury.md.us. Those seeking registration should look under the “Information Center” section.

Officials say skaters 18 years and older may sign a waiver, and after will receive a sticker representing their registration. For those under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will have to sign.

The City of Salisbury will have a registration table set up at the 3rd Friday event in Downtown Salisbury Friday night.
