Salisbury Christian Volleyball Takes Battle Over Delmar

The Salisbury Christian volleyball team hit the road Tuesday afternoon and defeated Delmar in a 5 set match (25-11, 20-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-12). The loss drops the Wildcats to 1-3 on the year.
The Jaguars would come out of the gate and jump out to the early lead. Collen Kemp and Lexi Evelyn would control the net while Lauren Mills came up with several kills from the outside. Delmar would come clawing back though in the second set, led by Carly Covington. She would finish with 3 straight kills from the left side, and then follow it with 4 straight jump serves that resulted in aces. The Wildcats would then take the 3rd set after getting strong contributions from Kelsie Hughes and Avery Wheatley. But the Jaguars would battle back and take a dominate 4th set, forcing a winner takes all 5th. There, Salisbury Christian was able to close it out for the win.
