Red Cross assisting two after fire burns OC residential building

An investigation is underway after a fire in Ocean City early Friday morning.

According to reports, Ocean City fire crews responded to St. Louis Avenue around 12:50 AM for a reported building fire.

As they arrived, reports say crews found fire and smoke coming from a second floor of the two-unit residential building. The fire was reportedly put out quickly, however, crews remained on scene for around three hours.

No injuries were reported. We’re told two people living on the first floor were displaced during the fire and they are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
