Queen Anne’s Field Hockey Remains Undefeated

Queen Anne’s County High School played host to the Parkside Rams in one of the only games that continued to play on a wet Thursday evening. The Lions looked to get the win over the Rams for the second win of the season to remain undefeated this fall.

After three storm delays – the game started with the Lions dominating the way throughout the first half and managed to take a 1-0 lead over the Rams.

The Lions goalkeeper – Emily Lanehart, continued to make big plays throughout the game to keep the Rams off the board – and her offense responded with a 2-0 lead to help make it look like a promising finish.

However, Parkside was not going to go down easy – with just about six minutes left in the game – the Rams Sarah Diller puts the shot on goal and Sarah Springer was there to clean it up to make it a one goal game, 2-1.

Then just a few minutes later, Tara Kenna put the ball into the front of the goal – Julia D’Ambross and Kelsey Graef worked to keep it in front of the goal and Graef cleaned it up for the 3-1 lead.

The Lions took down the Rams, 3-1 the final, while managing to stay 2-0 on the season.
