Police investigating serious motorcycle crash in Rehoboth Beach

Police in Rehoboth Beach say they are investigating a serious vehicle crash, involving a motorcycle and a car.

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department says on Sunday around 3:00 PM, Officers responded to Rehoboth Avenue at Christian Street, for reports of a serious vehicle crash. According to the report, 25-year-old Jeffrey Milcarek, of Rehoboth, was riding a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Rehoboth Avenue, when the motorcycle hit the driver side of a 1996 Toyota Camry, driven by 42-year-old Carmen Chinchilla, of Rehoboth.

Police say Milcarek, was wearing a helmet, and was first taken to Beebe Healthcare with multiple injuries, but was later transferred to Christiana Hospital. Chinchilla was reportedly not injured.

Rehoboth Beach Police say they are continuing the investigate the crash, with help from the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, to figure out if speed or any other circumstances were factors in the collision.
