Police deem sobriety checkpoint a success

The Easton Police Department say, their goal to educate the public and remove drunk drivers from roadways Friday was achieved.
During their sobriety checkpoint officers reportedly encountered 405 cars. During that time, no drunk or drugged drivers were encountered. Officials believe their message that, the members of the Easton Police Department care about their community was definitely relayed to those that got to experience the checkpoint.
Police remind drivers to be responsible and don’t drink and drive.
