One arrested after drug investigation in Delmar

Delmar Police say one man was arrested after authorities found he was selling drugs out of his house.

According to reports, between August and September, Delmar Police received multiple complaints of drug activity taking place near West Jewell Street and Westerlee Drive. An investigation revealed Rodney Medford was allegedly selling marijuana out of his house on Westerlee Drive.

On Friday, Delmar Police say, with the help of the Georgetown and Lewes Police Departments, executed a search warrant on Medford and the home. Police reportedly found 30 bags of suspected marijuana, a firearm, suspected drug proceeds, and packaging material.

Medford was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana tier one quantity, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and related charges. Police say he was arraigned and released on bond.
