Northampton Volleyball Sweeps Holly Grove

The Northampton volleyball team hit the road Tuesday and defeated Holly Grove 3-0 (25-22, 25-16 and 25-21). The Eagles return to action Friday when they host Salisbury Christian. 

The YellowJackets would take a tightly contest first set, but taking set two relatively easily. Holy Grove then would show their fight in the third led by Mackenzie Burkhead and Taylor McNure, as they battling back from an early deficit to tie the set at 19-19. Northampton’s senior sisters Kennedy Webb and Taylor Webb wouldn’t let the lead set away though, as they would finish it off for the sweep.
