Kent County looking to take things to another level

The Kent County Trojans are looking to do something the program has not done in quite a long time, make the playoffs for three consecutive seasons.

Coach Brendon Ireton is in his fourth year leading the Trojans, last season under Ireton, Kent won their first playoff game since 1996.

Senior QB Stevie Curran returns after throwing for over 1,700 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. Junior slot Marcquan Green also returns after averaging 152.8 all purpose yards per game. Green, who was all state second team as a freshman, missed three games in his sophomore season due to injury.

If the Trojans want to take things to the next level, it starts Friday, September 3rd when they take on cross-county rival Queen Anne’s.
