Johnson & Jantzen Lift SU Field Hockey To Win Over Johns Hopkins

The Salisbury University field hockey team remained perfect on the season Wednesday night with a 4-0 win over Johns Hopkins. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 6-0 on the year.
Salisbury would get on the board less than 5 minutes into the game as Sam Johnson would beat her defender, get to the front of the cage and fire one home for the score. Then nearly 30 minutes later, SU would double their lead after Johnson would find Courtney Jantzen at the far post and she would beat the keeper for the second goal of the game. Two minutes later, Johnson would find Annah Brittingham off a corner, and she would fire it to the cage. Jessica Crew would collect the loose ball and put it home to help SU to a 3-0 lead at the break. The Gulls would continue to dominate play in the second half as Johnson came up with a steal, then had a beautiful cross to Jantzen, who would put in her second goal of the game. The Gulls defense was sound all night, as Tressie Windsor posted the shut out with out having to see a shot on goal the entire game.
