Information sought on arson at Salisbury home

Investigators are looking for information, after the cause of a fire at a house in Salisbury, was ruled as arson.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the owner of the Mary Jane Drive home, discovered the flames around 5:40 PM on Monday. Firefighters didn’t respond to the blaze, as the flames self extinguished, before it was noticed.

The ranch style house was apparently minimally damaged, with loss estimated at $2,000. Investigators say the fire started on the outside of the home, and was intentionally set.

The Fire Marshal’s Office says they are being assisted in the investigation by the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the State Fire Marshal’s Office at 410-713-3780.
