How anticipated refugees will impact immigration

Accepting thousands of refugees in the U.S. as a result of the migrant crisis overseas, will apparently add to the growing number of immigrants in the nation.

The current influx already faces scrutiny from some Americans, according to the Pew Research Center.

A study found about 37% of Americans say, they believe immigrants make the American society worse in the long run.

Last Sunday, U.S. secretary John Kerry announced 85,000 refugees would be accepted into the nation next year.

According to Delaware State University professor Dr. Samuel Hoff, they would be included in the growing number of immigrants.

“I mean, you anticipate emergencies but those kind of numbers we see flooding into Europe are relatively unprecedented since the Second World War so I think there’s going to be an extra oomph to help citizens in the context of offering the US as a place they can go to.” Explains Dr. Samuel Hoff.

According to reports, the number of migrants accepted into the U-S is expected to increase in the year 2017.
