Four teens wanted, one arrested for delivery driver robbery and home burglary in Salisbury

Police in Salisbury say they have arrested one teenage boy, and are searching for several other teens, who reportedly robbed a food delivery driver, before breaking into a nearby vacant home.

Salisbury Police say on Tuesday, just before 10:00 PM, Officers responded to Mabel Avenue, for reports of a robbery. Once on scene, Police say they learned that an order for food was placed with Sub-Runners, to be delivered to Mabel Avenue.

The driver brought the order, and as he was getting out of his vehicle, Police say five teenage boys walked up to him, and assaulted him. The five suspects reportedly then fled, with the food. The driver apparently suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Salisbury Police say about six minutes later, Officers were called to Johnson Street, for a residential burglary in progress. Once on scene, Officers say they found suspects climbing out of a window of the home, and when the suspects saw law enforcement, they reportedly fled.

Police say they were able to apprehend one of the suspects, a 16-year-old boy.

According to the report, the home was found to be vacant, and Officers found evidence that directly linked the Sub-Runner robbery, to the home burglary. Police say they charged the 16-year-old with robbery, burglary forth degree, theft less $100, and assault second degree. He was later turned over to the Department of Juvenile Services, where he is reportedly being detained.

Police say they are still searching for four other suspects, all between the ages of 14 and 17. They don’t have much of a description for the remaining suspects, only that one has a thin build, and shoulder length dreadlocks, while another has a medium build, short black hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, and a gray hooded sweatshirt over his head.

Police say the incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information about either incidents, or the suspects, to contact Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3113 or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
