Former Dover LL president faces theft charges

According to Dover PD, William Berry, a former president of Dover Little League, is facing multiple theft-related charges after allegedly using league funds for unauthorized personal use.

We’re told the 52-year-old Hartly resident turned himself in on Friday.

Authorities say that their investigation found that Berry had used a league credit card and spent fundraiser money in excess of $4,000.

Police say Berry was released on $7,000 unsecured bond and is facing the following charges:

  • Theft Over $1,500
  • Theft by False Pretense Over $1,500
  • Unlawful Use of Payment Card Over $1,500
  • Two counts of 3rd Degree Forgery
