Fire at Fruitland youth center under investigation

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says, they are investigation a fire at a sports and conditioning center in Fruitland.

According to reports, fire officials responded to Youth Exercise Service on West Main street around 8:00 PM on Monday. When firefighters arrived, it reportedly took three fire companies, five minuets to put out the flames in the storage room of the one story wood building.

The preliminary investigations reveals the flames were the result of an electrical malfunction in the main feed junction box. Officials have estimated the cost of lost at about $5,000.
