Del. drivers see gas prices fall to $2.22

Motorists in Delaware are paying 6 cents less at the pump when compared with a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic said Sunday in a weekly report that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Delaware was $2.22. That’s compared to $2.28 a week ago.

Motorists in the region are paying $1.08 less per gallon than a year ago. At this time last year Delaware drivers were paying $3.30 per gallon.

The price of gas in the state is 7 cents below the national average of $2.29 per gallon.
