Cambridge man arrested on arson threat charges

A Cambridge man is facing charges, after he reportedly threatened to burn down someone’s home.

Cambridge Police say on Friday, around 5:15 PM, Officers responded to a home on Sunburst Highway, for reports of a threat of arson. Once on scene, Officers say they found that 30-year-old Gardell Chester Jr., had gone to the home, and threatened to burn down the victim’s house.

Chester was then arrested, and charged with one count of arson/threat. He was then held on a $5,000 bond, at the Dorchester County Detention Center.
