Cambridge man accused of assaulting Police Officer

Police say a Cambridge man has been charged, after he assaulted an Officer.

Cambridge Police say on Tuesday, an Officer was at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, when someone walked up to them, and hit the Officer one time in the face.

Investigators identified the man as 61-year-old Milton Tilghman, and arrested him. He was charged with second degree assault. Police say Tilghman is now being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center on a temporary commitment.
