Caesar Rodney Football Preview

The Caesar Rodney football team is looking for a big bounce back season in 2015. The Riders are led by 20 seniors and believe they have the team that can help turn things around this year.

Lots of changes for CR this year, starting on the sideline as they enter their first season with Dan Candeloro taking over for Mike Schonewolf as the head coach. That comes after Schonewolf held the position for 8 years, and was working in the program for over 20 years. On top of that, the Riders now look to move forward after graduating star running back Jordan Downes.

Now the team will look to their senior leadership to help pave the way this year. Coupled with that experience comes a new system, and lots of competition for positions across the field. The biggest spot yet to be won is the quarterback where returning starter Brian Lewis who is now fighting for the job with transfer Jared Wagenhoffer. 

The Riders open up their season September 11th when they host Middletown.
