Blue Raiders field hockey shuts out Milford

The Woodbridge Blue Raiders got win number one on the season, shutting out Milford 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Greenwood.

Sara Davis scored at the 23:55 mark, and gave the Blue Raiders an early lead. Milford would have opportunities before the half, but Woodbridge goalie Emily Adams would stifle them to take a 1-0 lead into the half.

In the second half, Woodbridge defender Altia Anderson would anchor the defense and keep the shutout intact. The Blue Raiders host Seaford on Thursday, while Milford travels to Sussex Tech.
