Bennett Boys Soccer Downs Wi-Hi

The James M. Bennett boys soccer team picked up a road win Tuesday night when they traveled and defeated rival Wicomico High School 3-0. The win improves the Clippers to 4-1, while the loss drops the Indians to 1-6.
Bennett would get on the board early after a nice cross from Jacob Clayborn would find Cermy Oneus and he would finish in traffic for the score. The defense would tighten down for the Indians from there though, as Luke Edson would pitch a shut out the rest of the half in goal for WiHi. Clippers would take a 1-0 lead into half, but the lights would go out in the second half. The delay didn’t slow Bennett though as they would go on to add two more goals on their way to the win.
Bennett returns to action Thursday when they host Queen Anne’s while WiHi returns to the field Thursday when they host Easton.
