Authorities investigating apparent robbery in Dover

Authorities are searching for a suspect after an elderly man was apparently robbed at this home on Monday.

Delaware State Police say, on Monday afternoon, a man pulled into the victim’s driveway on Silver Leaf Lane in Dover. The man apparently asked the victim if he could use a phone. When the 84-year-old victim bent over to pick up the phone in his garage, the man reportedly grabbed the man’s wallet from his pocket. We’re told the suspect fled from the scene in an SUV.

No injuries were reported in the robbery.
