Appreciating Every Game & Everyday: Michael Harmon

Thursday afternoon was the season opener for the James M. Bennett jv football team. It was the first high school game for defensive end Michael Harmon, but just being on the field was a real achievement. Harmon was diagnosed with cancer as a 1 year old, and would undergo 5 rounds of chemotherapy.

He would live through all of his treatment, and eventually fight to earn his way onto the Clippers football team. Thursday he got his first opportunity to take the field with his team, and even got to score his first point in front of his 2 biggest fans; Joe and Rae Harmon.
