Worcester Co. offering discount on feline adoptions

 A local humane society has reduced their adoption fees, in hopes of getting more paws out the door. The Worcester County Humane Society says now through Labor Day, cats and kittens will cost just $75 to adopt. This special “Cat Days of Summer” fee includes spay/neuter, immunizations, microchip and fecal exam.

“There is no better time than now to adopt from the shelter as it is currently filled to capacity with cats and kittens” says Ashley Brown, WCHS adoption coordinator. “During the month of July there were over 50 kittens brought into the shelter bringing the total number of cats and kittens living here to over 150.”

If you’re interested in adopting a cat, they are available for viewing at the shelter in Berlin during regular business hours, or at Petco and OC Pet Spa both in West OC.

The Humane Society is also hosting a special summer adoption event on August 22, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM, where there will be baked goods for sale, and raffle tickets with the chance to win three cash prizes.
