William Cathell Jr. out on bond
A preliminary hearing has been set for a Worcester County teacher from Virginia for the alleged sexual assault of a number of his students.
42- year- old William Cathell Jr. had an initial appearance with a Worcester County District Court commissioner Thursday morning.
There, his hearing was scheduled for September 15th. Back in June, investigators started looking into complaints made against the Spanish- foreign language teacher.
Four victims were identified. At the time of the alleged offenses, police say the victims were between the ages of 12 and 13.
Cathell is facing more than twenty charges including sexual abuse of a minor and second degree assault. As of August 20th, he is out on bond.
