Wheels and wine for a good cause

Over 4,500 gathered Sunday in Felton, Del. to see cars, drink wine, listen to music and more all for a good cause. The goal, to raise money for Debbie’s fund, a Delaware non-profit that donates its money to local animal shelters and organizations such as First State Animal Shelter.
47 ABC caught up with Jim Woodland, the president and one of the creators of Debbie’s Fund, who says his friend Debbie Sipple cared a lot for animals. According to Woodland, Sipple died over 10 years ago and he and a few friends wanted her legacy to live on.
Woodland says Debbie’s fund started back in 2004 with only a 3000 dollar donation at her funeral. Now over a decade later the non-profit is set to make over 30,000 this year, with a majority of that coming from Sunday’s event.
Woodland tells us the event has doubled in size since they first partnered up with Pizzadili Winery in Felton seven years ago to put on the car show.
