UPDATE: Two suspects indicted in shooting death of teen

Two suspects have been indicted for the shooting death of a Fruitland teen that happened in early August.

18-year-old Jarrett Stokes and 18-year-old Ky’Shir Connally, both of Delmar, were indicted in Wicomico County Circuit Court on Monday in connection to the alleged shooting death of 17-year-old Fruitland teen Rakim Russell.

Police say Russell was shot while in the parking lot of the America’s Best Value Inn as he left a party just after midnight on Sunday, August 2.

According to online court documents, Stokes faces 15 charges including 1st degree murder. Connally faces 18 charges, also including 1st degree murder.

State’s attorney Matt Maciarello says Stokes and Connally are currently being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond.

A third suspect, 20-year-old Salisbury man Larry Ennis, was also arrested in early August. Court documents show Ennis was indicted on August 10.
