UPDATE: Rehoboth dad sentenced for murder of infant son

A father from Rehoboth Beach, was sentenced Friday morning after murdering his 3-month-old son.

Sidney Davis III, will spend 14 and a half years behind bars. This comes after Davis pleaded guilty in April to second degree murder by abuse, and second degree assault.

Investigators say Davis was watching his twin sons last May, and called emergency responders saying one of them was unresponsive. An autopsy revealed the child died from homicide due to head trauma. It was determined that Davis shook the crying infant, in an attempt to quiet him.

According to Delaware State Police, the other male twin was uninjured, and was placed in the care of his mother.
