UPDATE: Police identify victim of fatal crash in Laurel

The Delaware State Police say they have identified the victim of a fatal crash in Laurel as 24-year old Kentrell Savage of Milford.

Police say the crash happened shortly after 8:00 PM on Tuesday. Investigators reveled a Savage, driving a 2005 Cadillac, was reportedly driving west on Laurel Road at a high rate of speed, when he failed to navigate a left curve correctly. The Cadillac apparently crossed the eastbound lane before exiting the south side of the road, hitting a drainage ditch and flipping the vehicle, ejecting the unbelted driver into the road. Savage, who was the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say Route 24 at Christ Church Road was closed for three hours while the crash was investigated and cleared. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident.
