Suspect sought following reported parking lot robbery in Seaford

Police are looking for information, after a woman reportedly had her purse stolen from her in a shopping center parking lot.
Seaford Police say on Friday afternoon around 2:50 PM, Officers responded to the Seaford Village Shopping Center on Sussex Highway, for reports of a robbery. Once on scene, Officers say they met with a woman who said that a man walked up to her in the lot, and demanded her purse.
According to the report, the victim refused, which lead to a struggle between the two, during which a handgun fell from the suspect. Police say the suspect was able to get the purse from the woman, grab the gun from the ground, and flee the area in a teal colored Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by a woman.
Officials don’t have much of a description of the suspect, but say he’s a man, standing 5′ 5″ to 10″ tall, with an average build.
Police say they couldn’t locate the vehicle, and are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 302-629-6644 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be sent through the Tip Submit website. A reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest and conviction of those involved.
