Salisbury PD continues heroin overdose investigation

The efforts to end the scourge of heroin on the eastern shore is picking up momentum.

While government leaders are finding the funding to increase awareness and help law enforcement, overdose deaths continue.

47 ABC got a tip about an investigation in progress today and found police, undercover officers, and detectives at an apartment on Middleneck Road in Salisbury.

We’re told this is a follow up investigation in the overdose death of William Fulton.

Apparently in early August, after reportedly overdosing on heroin, Fulton was dropped off at the ER where he then died.

Due to Good Samaritan laws, police are not allowed to question anyone who dropped Fulton off.

Chief Barbra Duncan tells us that the Good Samaritan laws have some benefits but also prove to be problematic and limiting in cases such as this one.

Chief Duncan also tells 47 ABC they have been investigating complaints made about suspicious activity at this residence for months.
