Poultry building fire in Harrington ruled accidental

A chicken house fire in Harrington has been ruled as accidental. The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office says firefighters responded to the building on Sugar Stick Road just before 9:00 AM on Monday.
Once on scene, crews reportedly found smoke pouring from the 400′ by 50′ poultry building. After the flames were extinguished, Investigators reportedly found that an electrical outlet had failed inside of the building, sparking the fire.
The flock of chickens apparently survived. Damages to the building are estimated at $10,000. There were no injuries reported.
