Pin-up girls for PTSD

During World War Two pin up girls became an icon for homesick soldiers. Present day, a non-profit called Heels For Combat Boots is using that pin up girl persona to raise money for soldiers with post traumatic stress disorder.
The national non-profit group has groups in 39 states. Sunday Delaware’s group appeared in Felton, Del. for the Wheels and Wine Charity Car Show.
The ladies in the group raise money through taking donations, selling raffle tickets and signing photographs for fans.
Although they are all volunteers, they say what they’re doing is well worth their time.
“It’s everything about this, it’s just wonderful. We know we’re giving back. Everybody wants to hear our stories, we love hearing theirs and just knowing we’re helping, we’re actually making a difference,” said Eleanor LaRouge, the leader of the Delaware group.
The pin-up girl group said they are always looking for new members and anyone who has the urge to help soldiers in need should consider joining.
