Parker Place in Salisbury closing come September

A store that has been a staple in the Downtown Salisbury area for more than 20 years, has announced that it will be closing its doors. On its Facebook and Instagram accounts on Wednesday, Parker Place announced that they would be closing up shop in September.
The Facebook post reads “21 years ago I opened my store on W. Isabella St. At that time I had no idea what a fun fulfilling career it was gonna be. I have met some of the best people, and I have had a blast. You all have been with me thru 2 moves, 5 different business ideas, the birth of my children, and my divorce. I have always felt the love and support. You, my customers are like my family. So with much consideration I have decided to close the store effective Sept 30, 2015. I will still be selling stuff via Facebook, Instagram, Ebay, website ect. I will also still be traveling doing the shows. I am not sad, it is time for the next chapter……xoxo.”
The post had more than 50 comments, expressing sentiments and good wishes.
Once located on Isabella Street, then West Main Street in Downtown Salisbury, Parker Place has since moved across Route 13, to East Main Street, next to the Salisbury City Park.
