One killed in single vehicle crash in Pocomoke

A person has died, after Police say they hit a telephone pole, and a fire hydrant with their vehicle.

Pocomoke Police Department says on Sunday just before 2:00 PM, Officers responded to reports of a single vehicle crash in the area of Market Street and Tenth Street. Once on scene, they found that the driver had hit a telephone pole, and a fire hydrant, a few streets back.

Police say the only occupant of the vehicle was the driver, who hasn’t been identified at this time. The driver was rushed from the scene to Peninsula Regional Medical Center by EMS, where they apparently later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
