One dead in fatal Laurel crash

Authorities from Delaware State Police say they are on the scene of a fatal vehicle crash on Laurel Road.

We’re told the crash happened around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in between Christ Church Road and Shiloh Church Road.

Few details are available, but we’re told the crash involved a single vehicle. Police have confirmed one person has died from the crash.

Police say SR24 is currently closed between Christ Church Road and Shiloh Church Road. Commuters are advised to seek alternate routes of travel for the next few hours.

The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently on scene and will assume the investigation.
