One charged with illegal use of off-road vehicles, more sought

Officials from the Laurel Police Department say Tennyson Evans, of Delmar, turned himself in following a warrant for his arrest regarding illegal operations of off-highway vehicles within town limits.

Police say a two and a half month investigation after numerous reports of off-road vehicles creating a nuisance led to the arrest.

Officials say Evans is just one of the individuals operating the off highway vehicles and fleeing from the police.

Results of the search warrant reportedly revealed several off-road vehicles on Evans’ property, which were seized as evidence.

Police report Evans has been arraigned on 35 charges of which included Disregarding a Police Officers Signal and Off Highway Vehicle Disobeying Command to Stop.

He has reportedly been committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $31,750.00 secured bond with a future court date.
