One arrested, one wanted in connection to Smyrna burglary

Two Dover men have been charged, in connection with a Smyrna burglary that happened back in July.

Smyrna Police say on July 13, Officers responded to a home on Greens Branch Lane, where a homeowner come back from work to find that someone had forced their way into the home. According to the report, the burglar took an XBOX gaming system, games, controllers, headset, and a television from the home.

Police say they were able to get surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle, and a description of the suspects from a witness. Police say they worked with this information, but when they were at a standstill, they released the photos to social media on August 11, and in less than 24 hours, they had a tip leading to the identification of the suspect vehicle.

The owner of the vehicle was apparently identified as 27-year-old Brian Allen, who was also reportedly found to have pawned several items that were taken during the break in.

On Wednesday, Allen was arrested, and charged with receiving stolen property under $1500, before being released on $750 unsecured bail, pending future court date.

Police say they also have a warrant out for 30-year-old Jason Bowser, on charges related to the incident, which include burglary 2nd degree, criminal mischief under $1000, theft under $1500, and conspiracy.
