NAACP sponsored a backpack giveaway at Salisbury Middle School

The Salisbury NAACP chapter hosted a backpack giveaway at Salisbury Middle School. The Back to School rally gave kids from kindergarten to eighth grade backpacks.

Over 400 backpacks filled with crayons, notebooks, folders, hand sanitizers and other school supplies were given away to anyone who came with a child.

The goal was to help offset costs of school supplies and to give students the tools to get work done and continue their education.

Supplies that were not given away will be donated to local churches for their back to school giveaways.
