Judge orders response in lawsuit involving Accomack County

The Accomack County Board of Supervisors claims they are still optimistic despite a judge’s ruling that shot down their request to have a lawsuit against them dismissed.
The developer of the Atlantic Town Center is suing the county for eight million dollar because of a zoning conflict.
The developer has plans to build apartments and town homes on one-hundred and six acres just off of Route 175. However, the area is zoned as agricultural.
The lawsuit claims the county voted and turned down the application to rezone the area as residential. The judge, who ruled on August 7th, said the board must respond to this complaint on or before September 11th.
