Information and suspect sought in Seaford bank robbery

Seaford M&T Bank robbery suspect

Police are looking for a suspect, after a bank in Seaford was reportedly robbed.

The City of Seaford Police Department says on Thursday morning just before 10:00 AM, a man walked into the M&T Bank on West Stein Highway, handed a teller a note that demand money, and stated that he had a weapon. According to the report, no weapon was ever shown, but the suspect received an undisclosed amount of money, and fled in an unknown direction.

Police say following the call, they searched the area with K-9 units from Bridgeville Police, but didn’t locate the suspect. The suspect is described by Police as a man with dark hair and beard, in his 20 to 30s, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, cargo shorts, and blue tennis shoes.

The Seaford Criminal Investigations apparently have a suspect in their investigation, and are actively looking into that person. They are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Seaford PD at 302-629-6644 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. A reward is being offered through Crime Stoppers for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
