Hebron man sentenced to life for sexually abusing child

Joshua Huffman, 38, of Hebron, MD

A Hebron man will now spend the rest of his life behind bars after he was convicted on sex abuse charges for a second time.

Joshua Huffman, 38, was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday, after being convicted of second degree sex offense, sex abuse of minor, and other charges back in May. The charges stem from an incident in 2012, where Huffman sexually abused a five-year-old in his home.

Huffman will also have to register for life as a tier III sex offender.

Officials with the State’s Attorney’s Office say Huffman was originally convicted back in 2012, but the Court of Special Appeals reversed that conviction in 2014, giving Huffman a new trial.
